South Pacific Pictures Fit Out

It is with great pleasure that I provide a testimonial for Pacific Scaffolding.  Recently we acquired a new 1500sqm studio/warehouse with an 8 metre stud.  From the time of signing the tenancy to our first shoot day, we had a very short timeline to allow us to fit out the studio to the required specifications, including the lighting grid.  Fortunately, Paul Buffery and his team made the task seem rather uneventful for us as they were willing to work around and above our set construction team – this meant working through the night.   We had existing equipment that was custom built for another building and although it had very different angles and gradients, Paul utilised almost all of the existing equipment which saved us a large sum of money.  We then decided to add to the grid and again, Paul and his team swooped in and had the lighting grid in place and ready to go within 3 days – the overall measurement of the grid is a whopping 700sqm!  Further we have required urgent delivery of steel scaffolding for our CYC’s and Pacific Scaffolding provided quotes immediately and delivered as soon as the quotes were accepted by us.  Thanks Paul – you’re on speed dial!

Dilworth School Production 2012

I am writing to show my appreciation for the work of Paul and his boys on our school show Godspell.

Pacific Scaffolding had the contract to rig a scaffold from the drawings of our designer, and Paul's expertise in set design meant he had some great ideas and concepts which enhanced our design and made the final job that much more effective. They were not fazed by our director changing her mind (several times) and changed their rig a couple of times, always with a smile and the adage "the client is always right" but in this case, I think it was Paul who was right!

From an empty school hall stage to a set representing the red zone in Christchurch, Paul and his team made the transformation in one afternoon and we are extremely grateful for his expertise.

You should look to hiring these guys at the design stage as well as the construct and make use of their knowledge - I know I will certainly be doing so next time.

Many thanks

To whom it may concern

I would just like to show my appreciation for the work of Paul and his boys on the job they helped our production company with recently.

Pacific Scaffolding had the contract to rig and de rig the camera platforms on this particular Job.

Our Art Dept had the job of the on camera scaffolding The set dressing element on this period film was very old pipe and clip that is now fazed out due to it being horrible to use. This didn't worry the Pacific Scaffolding boys as they jumped in and gave us a hand to take down these large towers at a very sensitive delicate location, right after they had knocked out their assignment.

These guys were fast, carefull and even helped us load our truck, with asmile on their face!!

Pacific turned what was going to be a long and stressfull days strike into a breeze for us at what I can only call mates rates

Don't need to look any further next time I need some rigging done.

Thanks again

Tane Jarrett

Cubicon Endorsement of Pacific Scaffolding

We are a building company specialising in Interior Office Design and build.

Recently we were asked to repair an exterior building which required scaffolding the outside. Through word of mouth I was given a contact at Pacific Scaffolding to phone. They arrived on time for a meeting, the scaffold was erected on agreed day, they returned the next day to remove a part of it as needed.

Pacific Scaffolding were very easy to deal with and I would certainly recommend them to anyone in the industry.

They will be used again by our company.

I would be happy to discuss this verbally if you are considering using Pacific Scaffolding.

Shine - te kakano tumanako

We would like to thank you for your contribution to the Eden Park Open Day Charities event. Our organisation, Shine, was one of the designated charities, and we appreciate the generosity you have shown.

Here at Shine we work hard to make New Zealand homes safer. This is a challenging task. We have highly qualified and dedicated staff members that go the extra mile to serve families impated by domestic abuse. Even in these last few days before Christmas, Shine staff members bear the burden of horrendous situations of domestic abuse occurring in their daily caseload. Nearly half of all homicides in New Zealand are as a result of family violence and this includes children.

Our goal and vision here at Shine is to change this terrible statistic by working creatively and strategically to address the issue of domestic abuse both by services and prevention initiatives. We thank you for partnering with us in this objective.

Your sincerely

Ministry of Education

Glendowie Primary School Fire.

The fire that destroyed a large part of Glendowie Primary School and caused damage to a similar area was a significant event for both the school and the ministry.

The timing of the fore, less than a month before the start of the new school year presented a number of challenges in providing temporary classrooms and also repairing the damaged rooms for use. The works were very ably managed by Tony Coleman of Building Solution who addressed the demolition and repairs and Martin Hall who arranged the establishment of the temporary rooms.

Critical to the success of the operation however, was the co-operation from contractors. Both the school and Ministry received overwhelming support from th econstruction sector, and the dedication and sheer hard work put in by everyone involved was amazing and hugely appreciated.

I am writing to simply say 'thank you' to you and your staff for your company's contribution to this project - without you and your construction colleagues, we could not have achieved the re-opening of the school in such a short time.

Yours sincerely
